The Daily Reporter has honored Miron Construction for their project at a food waste-to-energy system in Wisconsin. FCPC Renewable Generation, LLC, owned by the Forest County Potawatomi Community, owns and operates this food waste-to-energy facility in Milwaukee, WI.
This facility converts liquid and solid food wastes to biogas through an anaerobic digestion process. The biogas fuels two 1.0 MW generators to produce a total of approximately 2.0 MW gross electrical power output, which will be sold to WE Energies, the local electrical utility.
